Wannabe Cechov

Wannabe Cechov is a dramaturgy workshop curated by Francesco Alberici.

Where and how does the idea for a show come about? What desires set it in motion? And how does an idea take shape as a writing project? I will try to explain this, starting from my own work experience. On the one hand, I will try to explain how my creative process works, what techniques I use to corner myself and force myself to give shape to ideas, what tools and tricks I use to write; on the other hand, I will propose some topics for discussion and a few exercises to stimulate your imagination and train you to write. The ultimate goal is to arouse at least a little curiosity.

The first workshop took place in 2021 at Sapienza University of Rome.
